Motion Cures Stagnation
Yesterday, I mentioned the idea of setting things in motion. We know that success is not always immediate. However, the very act of taking that first step creates a wave of motion. It breaks inertia.
Think of it as a log jam on a river. Nothing moves until somebody kicks one of those logs out of position. Once that action is taken, the logs begin to move, albeit slowly. The jam shudders as the logs give way. Slowly at first, the jam moves and breaks apart. The breaking gathers momentum quickly, until the jam finally falls apart and logs roll down the river. You initial action is like kicking that log.
Stagnation cannot persist once there is movement. It all begins with a simple act. Things move when you move. The initiative is in your hands.
