People In My Life
One of the most appealing songs is a tune by the Beatles entitled “In My Life.” It is a song about memories of the past and the conditions of the present. I like its optimism and perspective.
“Though I know I’ll never lose affection for people and things that went before…. I love you more.”
There are people whom I remember fondly. I have not seen them is a very long time. Some changed, some stayed the same, and some have passed on. In a few cases, I remember who they were fondly, but am not so fond of how they are now. Others are remembered as they were because I have no idea how they are today.
I am certain you have the same kind of memories. It is all part of the human experience.
People are woven into and out of our lives. Some cross paths with us briefly. Others come and travel a while with us, and then go elsewhere. A few come and stay longer. The ones we remember best are those who have had the greatest impact on us, good or otherwise.
The flow of Wyrd is also a flow of people, each to find his own way. In the mix, people weave hither and yon, meeting and passing and leaving and meeting again. They color our destiny and we color theirs. Within Wyrd is a great “give and take” which helps us create our own destiny.
Every person who has ever come into your life is on his own journey, just as you travel your own path. We do not travel alone. The folks you remember are people whom you have helped along their way, as they have helped you on yours. This is just another of the many facets of Life and Wyrd.
