Making Good
I like creating things. Sometimes it comes out in various ways. Three years past, we passed through a place where I had lived many years ago I pointed out a couple of houses to Audrey. When I was doing roofing work one summer, I had been part of the crew that repaired the roofs of those houses. That had been over thirty years ago!
There is pride in saying, “I made that!” You can feel it after making a fine meal, crafting a garden, making a miniature, etc. There is a great joy in making something yourself. Hobbies are only a part of it. Many a common task can evoke pride. Whether it is installing a door or building a model kit, it feels good.
When you make something, you put some of your self into it. In a sense, you give it a magickal charge whether you intended to or not. Your creativity is passed into your creation. That is why we treasure things that are hand made by an individual. The personal touch gives them a special quality.
You are your magick. Your joy in making a thing is fused into it.

One of my hobbies is casting and making toy soldiers. I call it my toy soldier art. There is some thing sublime about taking raw metal and turning it into something interesting, Recently I decided to take it a step further.
I have tried to launch a new product call The Honor Guardsman. It is an unusual idea. You can see it here http://www.thortrains.net/honorguardsmen/
