Seeing True?

A pinhead Heathen limits his learning to the fragments and vestiges of the old lore.

A good Heathen does not limit his lessons. To him, the whole world is a teacher.

If you were ill and needed a medical procedure, would you first inquire as to its origin? Would it matter if it were a Norse procedure? Would you refuse it if it were not? Do you really care of the procedure that saves you is Norse or French or African in origin?

When you ride your automobile, do you care where its parts were invented? Does it matter if they originated in France or Britain or Germany? Does it matter if the man who assembled your carburetor were a Methodist, or the one who installed the brakes were a Muslim?

Truth is truth, no matter who the messenger may be. As Heathens, we must learn to recognize truth around us. All the study and what not is futile if it cannot be applied to our everyday experiences. We have failed if we cannot recognize truth. The Gods are vast, and so is the world they created. Truth is a world-wide thing.

You do not become less Heathen by acknowledging Truth where you see it. You become a better Heathen by learning to appreciate it. While we are not trying to become an eclectic soup, we are hoping to appreciate more good in our world. Learn to appreciate the manifestation of the Gods in your everyday world, in all places and things.
